Seattle’s critically acclaimed SunTzu Sound move forward with another heavyweight release. Brotherly’s Navigator, from their debut One Sweet Life, gets the deep house bounce from Musiclovelife aka Phil Asher and Mark De Clive-Lowe. The track’s round rubbery bassline and driving keyboard melodies ensure pure fire on any dancefloor. A dub mix and the original edit wrap up the release.
Led by producer/multi-instrumentalist Robin Mullarkey (Zero 7, Eska, 2 Banks of 4, Ty, Natalie Williams) and vocalist, co-writer and soulmate Anna Stubbs (Rima, Hospital Records), Brotherly is a collective of London’s brightest musicians who are pushing boundaries in jazz, nu-jazz, broken beat and urban music, drawing from an extensive pool of influences encompassing fusion, electronica, M-base, soul and African music.
Musiclovelife is a side project from renown producers Phil Asher and Mark De Clive-Lowe. Phil Asher been producing and remixing tracks with his Restless Soul project and under his own name for the last 12 years. Mark De Clive-Lowe started out as a session player during the early days of the West London broken beat scene and has gone on to make a name for himself as a producer in his own right. Together they create a unique soundclash of their various talents to create a must-have warm, hypnotic house jam for fans of house, nu-jazz broken beat
and anyone who likes soulful music.
